Dr. Brian Welborn graduated from Kansas State University Veterinary School in 1988. He purchased Atkinson Veterinary Clinic in 1995 from Dr. Gary Chase. Dr. Brian is a mixed animal veterinarian. He is beef quality certified and an instructor. He is Pennhip certified. He is a member of the American Bovine Veterinarian Association, American Society of Theriogenology, American Association Small Ruminate Practitioners, American Veterinarian Medical Association and the Nebraska VMA, and trained for Microbeef and Samson Age source verification.
Brian grew up in Topeka, Kansas until his family moved to Murrysville, Pennsylvania his 8th grade year. He graduated from Murrysville High School. He started his college education at Penn State only to find he craved the Midwest. He moved to Hays, Kansas where he graduated with a B.S. in General Agriculture in 1978. He worked two years as a hog farm manager. In 1983, he married Marie. In 1984, he was accepted in the veterinary program at Kansas State University. Dr. Brian worked 3 years in Iowa before accepting as associate position with the Atkinson Veterinary Clinic.
Today, Dr. Brian and Marie have 5 sons, 3 daughters-in-law and 2 granddaughters.

Dr. Benjamin Welborn |
Dr. Benjamin Welborn graduated from Iowa State Veterinarian School in 2014 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Ben did his undergraduate in Kearney, Nebraska at UNK with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. Ben spent much of his life in Atkinson, Nebraska. He graduated from West Holt High School. Ben is a member of the AVMA, NVMA, IVMA.
Ben is married to Allison and has 2 young daughters. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, kayaking, water skiing and running.
